About Good Shepherd's Fold!

Good Shepherd’s Fold was established in 1994 with the purpose and primary vision of evangelizing the orphan and destitute children of Uganda with the good news of Jesus Christ, while also providing for their physical, spiritual, educational and medical needs.

John 4:14

GSF is located approximately 15 miles west of Jinja, Uganda in a small village called Buundo. Currently several missionary families work alongside over 60 Uganda staff each day in the various ministries of GSF. In addition to providing a home for more than 90 children (newborns through eighteen years of age), GSF offers an outstanding Christ-centered education to more than 200 children each day in our primary school.

On the GSF compound, our children are divided into nine families, each led by a Ugandan foster mother. In addition to our nine families, our compound is also home to some of our own staff, our missionaries, the GSF School, a small medical clinic, our farm, and GSF Chapel.

I will be working as a nurse at the Medical clinic :

Medical Clinic: GSF offers medical outreach to all of the people on the feeding program–the babies and the elderly. Those who are sick walk 1-2 hours to see the nurse at GSF. If they are very ill we will take them to a local hospital.
At the GSF Clinic, the nurse provides basic treatment to the patients, including testing and treating malaria, flu, cough and caring for wounds. We also educate our patients on basic health care.
